TV Executive Slams Trump Over Harvey-Related Media Criticism: 'I've Had It With The Insults'

Bill Bishop, managing editor of KHOU, slammed President Trump's Saturday remarks that the media doesn't brace tough conditions for Hurricane Harvey coverage.
President Trump took another aim at the media on Saturday when he suggested that reporters aren't willing to brace tough conditions for Hurricane Harvey coverage "unless it's a really good story," reports The Hill.
Bill Bishop, managing editor of KHOU, a CBS-affiliated television station, slammed President Trump's remarks on Twitter.
"I've had with the insults," Bishop tweeted. "Let's see him stand in E. coli water reporting for hours like the media does."
Trump made his comments about the media while applauding the Harvey-related efforts of Coast Guard during his visit to Houston.
“I hear the Coast Guard saved 11,000 people," Trump said. "Think of it, almost 11,000 people by going into winds that the media would not go into. They will not go into those winds, unless it’s a really good story."
In the past, Trump has often referred to the media as "fake news" and "dishonest."
