Lorry full of chemicals explodes in eastern China

This is the dramatic moment a lorry loaded with chemicals exploded in eastern China on Tuesday.

According to local media, the vehicle was carrying calcium carbide which became wet, causing the blast.

The explosion shattered the windows of nearby buildings in Jining City in Shandong Province and also damaged several vehicles.

Several people were taken to a local hospital, although the driver of the lorry emerged uninjured from the blast.
