Manhole explodes in China after girl drops firecrackers through cover

A manhole exploded in southern China after a girl dropped firecrackers through the cover.
CCTV video shot in the city of Jianyang in Sichuan Province on January 18 shows a girl squatting on the ground by the manhole. A woman stood beside her and peers over the manhole.
Video shows bricks being pushed up and the two moving away from the manhole before an explosion sends the debris flying into the air.
The woman and girl were not reportedly injured. Their relationship with each other is not known.
The path was being repaired and the incident is being investigated, reports said.
