Facebook Purchases Vidpresso to Make Interactive Video Facebook is on a mission to make video more interactive. The social media giant has purchased Vidpresso along with their seven employees and technology but not the company itself. The six-year-old Utah startup helps companies make their online video more interactive with on-screen social media polling and comments. Facebook's hope is to better compete with the interactive video of Twitch, YouTube, Twitter and Snapchat. Financial terms of the deal have yet to be disclosed. The newly acquired company’s clients such as BuzzFeed, Turner Sports and others will continue to use their services. Facebook Live has seen 3.5 billion broadcasts to date. The content typically sees six times as many interactions as traditional video.
