Storm clouds rolled over New York City on Tuesday afternoon, August 14, following heavy rain on Monday and over the weekend that drenched areas of the city with nearly two inches of rainwater, according to reports from Patch.This timelapse footage shows the storm clouds passing over downtown Manhattan and Brooklyn Heights.According to WABC, New York City has received around six and a half inches of rain since August 1 – four inches more than normal.
