Five Chinese labourers who went to Europe to serve on the battlefields of the first world war were given a military send-off at Anfield Cemetery in Liverpool on August 10, 2018.
The Chinese Consulate in Manchester and representatives of Liverpool’s 12,000-strong Chinese population attended the event which was part of Britain’s centenary commemorations of the war.
