US-China trade war forces some Chinese factories to move to Southeast Asia

To dodge Washington’s heavy tariffs on exports from China to the US, some Chinese manufacturers are relocating their production lines to Southeast Asian countries. One example is Guangzhou Yakeda Outdoor Travel Products Co, which has moved most of its production facilities to Myanmar. The company is not alone. Over 12 months ending April 2019, Myanmar has approved Chinese projects worth about US$585 million.
