North Korea has not mastered ICBM technology due to missile test hiatus: U.S. official

The United States has assessed North Korea has NOT yet fully developed the technology needed for an intercontinental ballistic missile.
The Vice Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Paul Selva says Pyongyang is still two steps away from mastering the technology, one of those steps being perfecting the highly complex re-entry technology.
He attributed the delay to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's decision to halt missile tests.
Selva said the U.S. has not yet seen North Korea conduct a successful ICBM test.
He added while North Korea's lack of progress will work to Washington's advantage in the denuclearization negotiations,... the U.S. should be on guard for further missile launches.
