Restoration work is underway in Leh’s Saboo village after cloudburst and flash floods hit the village on the night Wednesday. Government authorities, police and volunteers rushed to the site to assess the situation after the disaster and help locals to clear the debris from their houses. Deputy Commissioner said that administration got information about heavy rain and SDRF and police team were deployed on time. Owing to visibility problem nothing could be done at night however restoration started since early morning to provide immediate relief in water supply. Rehabilitations camps have been set up for affected families where all the essential services are being monitored by administration as per requirement. No loss of lives has been reported so far.
