Union minister for sports and youth empowerment Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore has said that games period in schools and colleges would be mandatory from next academic year. At the same time, text will be cut down up to 50 percent to reduce the burden on students.
ಮುಂಬರುವ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಕ್ರೀಡೆಗೆ ಉತ್ತೇಜನ ನೀಡುವ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಪಠ್ಯವನ್ನು ಶೇ.50ರಷ್ಟು ಕಡಿತಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಗೇಮ್ಸ್ ಅವಧಿ ಕಡ್ಡಾಯವಾಗಲಿದೆ. ಈ ಕುರಿತು ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸಚಿವ ರಾಜ್ಯವರ್ಧನ್ ಸಿಂಗ್ ಈ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿ ದಿನವೂ ಗೇಮ್ಸ್ ಪೀರಿಯಡ್ ಇರಲಿದೆ. ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಉತ್ತೇಜನ ನೀಡುವ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಈ ನಿರ್ಧಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
