The tamil film Kadikara manitharkal is a family drama, which tells the problems faced by tenants in Chennai city. Kadikara Manithargal is a well-intentioned movie that tries to highlight the plight of tenants in the city. Director Vaigarai Balan clearly lets us know where his sympathies lie, though, in his efforts to make us empathise with his protagonist, he piles on the tragedy, turning Kadikara Manithargal into a somewhat depressive film.
