Disney’s “Star Wars” films do great in the United States of America but not so good in China. In the U.S. “Rogue One” earned $1 billion in the box office and in China it only earned $69.4 million. Actor Donnie Yen, who starred in “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” has an idea as to why. Yen said “Star Wars” films aren’t popular in China because the audience didn’t grow up with “Star Wars” culture. He then compared the films to Marvel action movies and said it’s easier to understand superheros.
