A little girl based in Chico, California, has raised over $2,000 with a lemonade stand, and is using the money to buy supplies that she will donate to the victims and fire crews of the Carr fire in Redding, California.Californian congress candidate Audrey Denney shared images of the little girl, called Lila Pratt, to her Facebook page on July 31, and encouraged others to visit the stand or do their own bit to help the fire victims. Pratt’s mother Kirrin Pratt has since shared additional videos of Lila manning her stand, and thanking customers for their business. The Pratt family have used a part of the lemonade stand funds to buy 48 backpacks to fill with supplies, and they will be donated to school children displaced by the Carr fire. “Lila has so far purchased and donated items such as blankets, pillows, water bottles, Gatorade, diapers, baby wipes, children’s snacks, toiletries, feminine hygiene products, and games/activities for children,” Kirrin Pratt told Storyful. On Saturday, August 4, Lila had raised $2,105 in total with her lemonade stand.
