Turkish Miquelet Rifle, Late 18th century. Made of steel, wood, ivory, copper alloys, mother-of-pearl, gold and silver. Length: 154.31 cm, Calibre: 12 mm, Weight: 4862 g. The name "Muhammad Ayyubi" was inscribed on the lock and the barrel is marked with a Turkish test mark. The miquelet is an early and sturdy form of flintlock popular throughout the Turkish Empire from the 17th into the 19th century.
