U.S. senators introduced legislation Thursday to impose new sanctions on Russia and combat cyber crime.
The bill includes new sanctions on Russian political figures and oligarchs.
It also restricts sovereign debt transactions, energy and oil projects and Russian uranium imports.
Reuters reports both Democrats and Republicans supported the bill.
The bill also requires that two-thirds of the Senate must vote in favor of any effort to leave NATO.
