A video has emerged of Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra shoving and assaulting a police woman at Assam’s Silchar airport on Thursday after a party delegation arrived in the state to protest the National Register of Citizens (NRC) but weren’t allowed to leave the airport.
The video shot by an onlooker shows Mahua Moitra pushing a constable who is seen speaking to the parliamentarian with folded hands. A photo released later showed constable Rubi Rani Das with her left forearm bandaged.
