Several protesters were arrested on July 25 after blocking the elevators to the Louisville Immigration Court inside the Heyburn building in Louisville, Kentucky, during an demonstration against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).A dozen people linked arms using plastic braces which, according to WFPL, appeared to be made of PVC pipe and chains. The demonstrators chanted “abolish ICE” as they blocked people from entering and exiting the elevators, The Courier-Journal reported.The demonstration delayed the start of the Louisville Immigration Court where nearly 5,300 cases were pending, the Courier-Journal said.Occupy ICE Louisville also set up tents at a park near Sixth and Chestnut streets early that same day.
