Trump Blasts Former Attorney
Over Leak of Tape The President took to Twitter on Wednesday to slam Michael Cohen a day after the airing of an audio recording between the two. In the recording, Trump and Cohen can be heard discussing a payoff for a former Playboy model, who claims to have had an affair with Trump. Trump seems to tell Cohen to pay the model in cash, but the recording wasn’t clear. The recording was made in September of 2016, and the alleged affair took place years before the conversation. The airing of the tape has
shifted Trump's relationship
with Cohen dramatically. One of the President's tweets from last week seems to express anger with both the FBI and Cohen for even recording the conversation. The FBI raid on Cohen's office followed disclosure to the Department of Justice that Cohen had been under investigation for months. What Cohen's legal pressures will mean for Donald Trump remains to be seen. Lanny Davis, attorney for Michael Cohen, via CNN Trump's current attorney, Rudy Guiliani, is adamant that the conversation on the tape shows "no indication" of a crime.
