A pensioner has managed to grow a PINEAPPLE in the UK - and captured the moment he tasted it on film. Green-fingered Clifford Curd, 72, has been trying to grow the fruit in his conservatory for the past five years. The grandfather said the fruit is incredible difficult to grown, and even had to bring the plant indoors during cold spells. But the fruits of his labour have finally paid off as Clifford said his pineapple is more tasty than anything you could buy from a supermarket.
