Alligator devours one of its own in Florida lake

An alligator was captured eating on a smaller alligator in swampy waters by Lake Apopka in Florida.
The footage, captured on July 20, shows a big alligator wrestling a small alligator in its jaws.
The filmer writes: ''We took a drive through Lake Apopka’s Wildlife hoping to see just a glimpse of an alligator peeking out of the swampy waters. What we saw was more than we could have ever expected.''
According to researchers, cannibalism is a relatively common behaviour among alligators which might use it as a way of controlling their population.
