Now we turn to our Michelle Park at the weather center for the latest updates. Michelle any signs of relief from the heat?
Unfortunately, no, Daniel. Tomorrow will be similar or even hotter than today with humidex values reaching nearly 40 degrees Celsius across the country. But Beijing is in luck with rain in the forecast to bring down the highs tomorrow.
The whole country is getting blasted by the heatwave now except parts of Jeju. Withought a doubt, the warnings will stay on for tomorrow,... and in fact they won't be lifted anytime soon.
Seoul and Gangneung had the hottest nights in 111 years this week. They'll be a bit cooler tonight, but it'll still be above the standard temperature of 25 degrees Celsius that's considered a tropical night. By the morning, Seoul will be at 26 degrees.
Looking at the daytime highs, Seoul will be hitting 36, Daegu 37 and Busan 34 degrees.
Again throughout the week, there's no rain to look forward to,... just intense heat through the rest of the week.
