One of Korea's 'big three' shipbuilders... Samsung Heavy Industries is in the red for the second quarter of this year with an operating loss of some 88-million U.S. dollars.
Quite a different mood though at the country's leading steelmaker,
The world's fifth-largest steelmaker POSCO posted a 20-percent jump in its net profit in the second quarter of this year compared to the year before on equity gains from overseas affiliates.
For the fourth straight quarter, the steelmaker logged an operating profit of more than 1-trillion won, or over 880-million dollars,... this time,.. making a profit of 1-point-1 billion dollars.
