Growing Evidence Shows Eating Sugar Makes You Fat, Not Eating Fat

Emerging science is beginning to suggest that when eaten on its own, fat doesn't contribute to weight gain. However, sugar does, reports Business Insider. According to one pediatrician, fat "might actually help us shed a few pounds." This means that fatty foods like avocados, salmon, and nuts should probably have a place in your diet. Most grocery items in the "low-fat" category are packed with sugar and carbs.
