British PM survives key Brexit vote
British Prime Minister Theresa May's Brexit plan has narrowly survived a vote in parliament.
Her government won by 307 to 301, defeating pro-EU Conservative lawmakers, who wanted the UK to join a customs union with the EU if May failed to reach a free trade deal with the bloc.
She, however, lost a vote on regulating medicine after Brexit.
May is trying to calm an in-house feud between pro- and anti-EU factions, which has led to several ministers resigning.
The political unrest comes just nine months before Britain leaves the EU.
