A very strong tropical cyclone was advancing towards the Sakishima Islands of Japan’s Okinawa Prefecture on July 10 with wind gusts of up to 200 km/h, according to Japan’s Meteorological Agency.An evacuation recommendation was in place for the city of Miyakojima with thousands left without power.Elsewhere, Japan has suffered extensive flooding in recent days, with at least 126 people dead and many still missing.This footage shows power cables and trees blown about by forceful wind in residential area of Miyakojima city.
