A father-son day out took an unexpected turn, after they witnessed the daring rescue operation of a dog, which had come to grief at Redwood Falls’ Ramsey Park.The dog had fallen into the high, rushing waters on July 7, as onlookers called emergency services. Firefighters arrived soon after to winch the dog to safety.Matt Anderson, who filmed this footage, said: “Ran to the falls hung off a tree cliff side, to see the dog sitting or clenching on for dear life on a rock. I called authorities as one arrived. The local firefighters arrived as they were setting up seemed like forever as we watched on a rock by the falls looking over the dog.
