Eastern quolls have been born in the wild on the Australian mainland for the first time over 50 years, WWF-Australia said.The baby marsupials were found in the pouches of three females, who were among a group of 20 eastern quolls moved from Tasmania to the Booderee National Park in Jervis Bay, New South Wales, in March, as part of a program to reintroduce the species to the mainland.The eastern quoll disappeared from the Australian mainland in the 1960s and is an endangered species.
