Arrests At US-Mexican Border Likely To Drop By End Of June

Preliminary figures provided by an official at the Department of Homeland Security reveal U.S. border agents are on pace to arrest about 16 percent fewer people at the southwest border in June than in May. According to Reuters, if current trends continue, about 34,000 people will be apprehended attempting to cross the U.S.-Mexico border illegally in June, speaking under the condition of anonymity because the numbers are not final.
