Police Vehicles Respond to Capital Gazette Shooting in Annapolis

At least five people were killed and several were injured when a gunman opened fire at the Capital Gazette newspaper in Annapolis, Maryland, on June 28, according to the newspaper’s own reportAnne Arundel County Police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said they had responded to the incident.A suspect surrounded by police and taken into custody, but was not cooperating with law enforcement, the Capital Gazette reported.Phil Davis, a crime reporter at the Capital Gazette, tweeted: “There is nothing more terrifying than hearing multiple people get shot while you’re under your desk and then hear the gunman reload.” Davis also said a “single shooter shot multiple people at my office, some of whom are dead.” He said a gunman shot through the glass door to the office and opened fire.These videos show multiple law enforcement vehicles responding to the incident along West Street in Annapolis, Maryland.US President Donald Trump, who in February tweeted that the press was the “enemy of the American people,” tweeted in response to the shooting: Prior to departing Wisconsin, I was briefed on the shooting at Capital Gazette in Annapolis, Maryland.
