Delhi and some surrounding areas received pre-monsoon rain on the morning of June 27, bringing down the mercury. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, these regions will witness one or more spells of rain or thundershowers during the day. But regular monsoon will arrive in Delhi between June 29 and July 1.
