Barrier Floating Down Flooded Road

A set of road barriers resembled a human-sized CENTIPEDE when they were washed away during a flood in Manila, Philippines, on June 21 at 5pm. Heavy rains had flooded the busy road during rush hour - a normal situation during the country's rainy season - but onlookers had to do a double-take when they saw the row of barriers.The 25-metre long plastic fence was floating down the river snaking in between cars stuck in the track jam in the Caloocan City area of the capital. Commuters who were stranded in the flood expressed their astonishment at the bizarre scene. Joey Dubria said: ''I was about to go home and was watching the flood waters. It was like a new swimming pool in the garden and there was a centipede swimming down.''
