Heavy rain swept across Iowa, triggering flash flooding on Thursday, June 14. Much of the flash flooding was centered on Ames, where emergency responders performed water rescues.Among the rescues was a postal worker whose vehicle was trapped in the water under an overpass, according to a news report.
