Fires burning near the campus of Sapir Academic College in Sderot, Israel, on June 5 were caused by incendiary kites launched by Hamas, according to Israeli officials.The fire spread outside the college but was brought under control.Israeli Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan said that those who send up such kites and “Hamas commanders” should be a “target for preventative killings”.Palestinian media said that similar fires on agricultural land near the Gaza border were caused by “youths firing kites”.
