Fiat supermini is first car to be awarded zero stars in EuroNCAP crash test
  • 5 years ago
The Fiat Punto has become the first car to receive ZERO stars in the industry-wide crash safety test. The supermini had a “good rating” when it originally went on sale in 2005. But Euro NCAP testing regime has become stringent and the Punto was slated when they re-tested it recently. The £12,000 car was awarded a zero star rating because of low scores for its crash performance, combined with the absence of key technologies such as Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) and Lane Support Systems.
