A street was left buzzing after 20,000 bees swarmed around a lamp A swarm of bees landed on a lamppost outside the Bristol Register Office in Corn Street. The swarm gathered at the top of Corn Street, with scores of people gathering to look - while many more are getting away from the insects as quickly as possible. A beekeeper called in to deal with the swarm estimated there were up to 20,000 bees. Beekeeper Quintin Alsop thought the bees had flown down from hives on the top of the Corn Exchange.
