Martial arts expert opens first Jedi training academy teaching younglings to use LIGHTSABERS

A martial arts instructor is offering kids the chance to learn the ways of the Force – with their very own lightsaber. Combining historical long sword techniques with the twirls and turns seen on the epic movie series, nerds are now getting into martial arts through their love of the Jedi. Using an ‘LED sabre’ the children wear fencing masks to be taught by self-confessed Star Wars fan and martial arts expert Faisal Mian. The youngsters, who are encouraged to design and make their own costumes, learn techniques passed down from generations of fencing experts, using lightsabers that make the familiar iconic sound.
