Sheep dog Lily gets Turkeys fit for Christmas

Sheep dog Lilly is making sure families can get well stuffed this Christmas – because she is in charge of guiding a feathery flock of hundreds of TURKEYS. The 12-year-old Border Collie has been keeping 340 festive birds in shape by taking them out of their shed for a daily exercise at the fresh air. Her proud owners, Heather Anderson, 55, and husband Peter Ritchie, 58, said the pooch had helped them keep the birds in line with a special curving motion she uses to usher them together. And her unconventional job at Whitmuir Farm in West Linton, Edinburgh, speeds up the process of getting the birds ready for Christmas meals.
