A rescue centre is hoping to find a home for England’s least wanted dog after he has spent almost SEVEN YEARS in kennels. Jed the lurcher was taken in by the Dogs Trust as a four-month old puppy. He has been adopted on a couple of occasions but each time the owner has had to return him. The dog was too energetic for the first family and on the second occasion he had to be returned due to a change of circumstances. It is thought that over the past seven years, Jed has been overlooked by more than 17,000 potential suitors. The Dogs Trust, in Darlington, is now putting out a fresh appeal to find a ‘forever home’ for the loving lurcher, which they describe as a “friendly and affectionate chap”.
