Horrified vets have spoken of the "worst case" of neglect they have ever seen after this adorable dog was dumped outside their practice with hair so matted it had caused her to go blind. The emaciated and elderly poodle-type dog was ditched outside the vets in Sheffield, South Yorks., in a cardboard box, which simply read 'dog inside' on the front. But when staff opened up the box they found Peggy whose fur had become so matted around her eyes that she was unable to blink -- meaning the pooch developed agonizing eye ulcers which had caused her to go blind in both eyes. She was also had a mouthful of rotten teeth, damp feet from standing in her own excrement and was severely malnourished.
