Stan Sosnowski gets his first taste of skiing- aged 90
  • 5 years ago
A pensioner who celebrated his 90th birthday on the ski slopes vowed to keep going until he is 100 - and his name is Stan SOSNOWSKI. The aptly named great-grandfather started took up the winter sport before the outbreak of the Second World War when he was just seven-years-old. As a child in his native Poland, Stan would squeeze into his leather boots and strap two planks of wood to his feet. But more than 80 years later the adopted Brit is still taking to the slopes - but things are a little bit different now. He celebrated his 90th birthday with a trip to The Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead, Herts. And now Stan has vowed never to give up the winter sport - even if his joints are starting to get the better of him.
