Electric unicycle launched in Cambridge

It may have some way to go to beat the bicycle as Cambridge's iconic mode of transport. But Jamie McAlley thinks the electric unicycle has mileage in it as the best way to get around the city. As probably the first Cambridge owner of the SBU V3, which is to be featured on Channel 5's The Gadget Show next week, the 35-year-old said it is just the ticket for his commute from the outskirts of town to the city centre - while attracting a lot of attention en route. He said: "It's almost dangerous from the point of view that people are turning to look at the unicycle and not looking where they are going. It creates an awful lot of interest wherever I go.
