Firefighters tackle a massive gorse fire in Dartmoor, Devon.More than 70 firefighter have been tackling a blaze covering around 1,500 acres of Dartmoor in one of the largest gorse fires in the area for years. Twelve fire crews fought the gorse fire,
which began at Chat Tor, near Lydford, at the weekend, aided by locals
who live and work on the moor. Their efforts were hampered by strong
and variable winds, but the fire was extinguished by 7.15pm.
