Hawaii's Kilauea Volcano is Still Erupting
  • 6 years ago
Hawaii's Kilauea volcano has been erupting for 19 days.
Earlier in the month, a series of over 200 earthquakes on Hawaii's Big Island indicated that Kilauea was about to blow it's top.
But prolonged volcanic activity has not subsided, instead it is increasing.
Initially, fissures in the ground around Kilauea ripped the earth open, exposing molten lava that spewed across the surrounding jungle, a highway, and dozens of structures.
