According to a report by Reuters, the United States and China have agreed to take measures to reduce US trade deficits by having China purchase more American goods, particularly agriculture and energy products. A joint statement released by the two nations on Saturday, read, "There was a consensus on taking effective measures to substantially reduce the United States trade deficit in goods with China.
