President Moon vows to find truth behind events of May 1980, restore victims' dignity

President Moon Jae-in promised to find the truth behind the repression of the May 18th Movement... and vowed to guarantee women's rights.
Through his Facebook account he expressed deep regret over the Chun Doo-hwan administration's brutality, including a sexual assault of a female high school student by the military, during that day in Gwangju.
The liberal leader plans to "restart true history by embracing women's rights"... by forming a joint investigation group into the events of May 1980... with the defense ministry, gender equality ministry, and National Human Rights Commission, to restore the dignity of the victims.
