Decision Karnataka Yeddy judgement day, Will BS Yeddyurappa be one-day CM
  • 6 years ago
Despite being sworn in as the Chief Minister of Karnataka, BS Yeddyurappa can’t breathe easy as he has been asked by the Supreme Court to submit the letters sent by him staking his claim to form the state Government. Yeddyurappa has to produce the letters before the court at 10:30 am today. The future of Yeddyurappa as Chief Minister could depend on what the court finds in the letters. After a four hour long post midnight hearing on a petition by cong and JD(s), though the congress had argued that BSY’S oath taking ceremony should be put on hold as the two week time given Yeddyurappa by the governor may give it time to induldge in horse trading. The Supreme Court had refused to stay Bs Yeddyurappa’s swearing in as Chief Minister but directed him to produce the letter to the Governer. Though Yeddyurappa has taken oath as the Chief Minister the Supreme Court had made it clear that the government formation would be subject to its final order.
