Seoul, central region soaked by sudden downpours

Seoul and other central parts of the country are drenched in torrential rain from Wednesday... and at least one person has died and another is missing.
Several roads are flooded, and subway services have been delayed.

Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi-do Province have been hardest hit by the torrential rain. The Korean Meteorological Agency reported that the capital region saw more than 100 millimeters of rain by 5pm Wednesday, and it expects a similar amount of rain to fall on Thursday.
One man has died in the downpours. He was swept away while riding his bike across the Jeongneung-cheon Stream in Seoul's Seongbuk-gu District.
In the city of Yongin, Gyeonggi-do Province, a man in his 40s has been reported missing after being swept away by a stream swollen with floodwater. The police and fire service have launched a search for him.
Roads and vehicles were submerged by flooding and the Gyeongui-Jungang subway line was halted for three hours due to an electrical fault after lightning hit the tracks.
The rain is expected to continue until Friday morning.
