And regarding North Korea's cancellation of today's inter-Korean talks,... South Korea's defense minister Song Young-moo also held an emergency meeting with the Commander of U.S. Forces Korea, General Vincent Brooks, this morning.
South Korea's Defense Ministry told Arirang News that the two met for about thirty minutes from eight to eight thirty a.m.,... and discussed the allies' joint response to the North's sudden about-turn on today's talks.
The two said the 'Max Thunder' exercise will continue,... and there's no difference in views on the matter between the two allies.
The ministry added that the exercises are regular annual training programs,... aiming at improving pilots' skills.
