Footage of a fisherman catching a shark on South Carolina’s Tybee Island beach has sparked a debate about the safety of the practice, after a 10-year-old boy was bitten by a shark earlier on Sunday, May 13.Gina Padgett captured footage of the shark being landed while walking on the beach on Sunday. Padgett said she did not know the fisherman and was not involved in catching the shark.The Island Packet newspaper reported that on Sunday afternoon, Jei Turrell was bitten on the forearm at nearby Hilton Head beach.
