Votes are being cast in West Bengal today in a tight security arrangement. Polling started from 7 o'clock in the morning. However, due to heavy rains in many areas, voting was delayed. There was a fast campaign for Panchayat elections in one phase. The ruling trinamulCongress, the BJP, the Congress and the Left Front in the state have charged the allegations against each other on the violence during filing nomination papers for elections.
